What Brycg is, and what it is not

Brycg is a veterinary management and development company. It does not treat animals. It builds hospitals, staffs them, and hands each one to a veterinarian to run. If you are a pet owner who landed here looking for care, the four hospitals are listed further down with their own numbers, and an emergency belongs on (512) 817-3474.

If you are a veterinarian, the rest of this page is for you. Brycg was founded in 2018 by Matthew Brooks, DVM, it is family owned and locally operated, and its whole argument is that a hospital run by a veterinarian is a better place to learn than one run by someone counting rooms. That is why every hospital has a doctor at the top of it.

Year one

You are mentored, not thrown in

VetBridge gives a newly graduated DVM a full associate contract, a fully paid salary, a starting bonus, PTO and paid licensing, plus dedicated mentors for case assistance and guided objective-based learning. Brycg calls it no strings attached, and means that it exists to make you well versed across general practice, urgent care and surgery.

Urgent and emergency work inside regular hours

Brycg offers emergency and urgent care during regular business hours at its hospitals. That is what exposes an associate to a wider range of medical and surgical cases instead of a wellness-only rhythm, and Emergency Animal Hospital of Crystal Falls sits behind all of it around the clock.

Your range

Surgery, dentistry, internal medicine

Liberty Hill trains associates in urgent care, surgery, dentistry and internal medicine, and runs specialty surgeries including TPLO. Facilities average around 6,000 square feet with state of the art equipment, so the range you build is limited by your appetite rather than by the building.

Each Brycg hospital is uniquely managed by a veterinarian, so director is a job rather than a title. Brycg states that opportunities are available to all motivated associates to own and operate hospitals as it continues to build facilities, which is why the floor plans on that desk matter to an associate.

No. Brycg is a veterinary management and development company. Care happens at our four partner hospitals, each of which has its own phone and its own website: Liberty Hill Animal Hospital, Pointe 183 Animal Hospital and Urgent Care in Leander, Emergency Animal Hospital of Crystal Falls in Leander, and Homestead Animal Hospital and Urgent Care in Manor, which is opening soon. Bridge. The name is written BRYCG and said like the word, which is also what the mark above it is.

VetBridge is a training and mentorship program for newly graduated DVMs navigating their first year in practice. A VetBridge candidate gets everything a normal DVM associate contract includes, a full-time schedule, a fully paid salary, a starting bonus, PTO and paid licensing. The difference is access to dedicated mentors who provide case assistance and guided objective-based learning through that first year.

Brycg describes VetBridge as a no-strings-attached program. Its stated purpose is to encourage new veterinarians to become well versed across small animal general practice, urgent care and surgery, so they can actually use the skill set they trained for.

Facilities average roughly 6,000 square feet and are equipped with state of the art equipment. Each hospital is designed as a seven doctor practice open seven days a week. That schedule and that staffing are what make collaboration and mentorship possible, and they are what create room for growth, leadership or ownership.
