About
Brycg, pronounced bridge, built by a veterinarian for veterinarians
Brycg Veterinary Alliance is a veterinary management and development company located in Central Texas, founded in 2018. It is family owned and locally operated, and it does not treat animals itself. Its four partner hospitals do that, each on its own address and its own phone. What Brycg itself builds is the structure a veterinarian works inside: how a hospital is staffed, how a new graduate is mentored, and how an associate actually becomes an owner.
The company story
Brycg Veterinary Alliance is dedicated to bringing all-inclusive veterinary care to every one of its hospitals. Its stated goal is to provide affordable routine care so clients have the best quality care for their pets, and it also offers emergency and urgent care during regular business hours. That is deliberate: it is what allows a doctor here to see a variety of cases and be exposed to a wider range of medical and surgical opportunities than a wellness-only clinic would offer.
“We want our veterinarians to become the doctors they have always dreamed and imagined they could be.” That is why each hospital is uniquely managed by a veterinarian, chosen to best fill the needs of the staff, patients and community at that particular location, rather than run to a script from a distant head office.
Facilities average approximately 6,000 square feet and are equipped with state of the art equipment. Each hospital is designed to be a seven doctor practice that is open seven days a week. That schedule and that staffing are what let doctors collaborate, learn and be mentored, while creating real openings for growth, leadership or ownership.
The company’s own mission statement reaches further than any one hospital: it describes Brycg as “a visionary organization dedicated to empowering veterinarians and revolutionizing the veterinary industry,” inspired, in its own words, “by the wisdom of James Herriott,” with a core philosophy built around celebrating the bond between humans and animals.
If any of that sounds like the kind of place you would want to practice, the person to write to is Dr. Matthew Brooks at BrooksDVM@brycgvets.com.
